Welcome to Leichhardt Council’s Pool and Aquatic Centre, a friendly fitness centre that offers a wide range of facilities that caters for the diversity of the local community.

Re-development of the Leichhardt Park and Aquatic Centre was completed at the end of 2009, the new facility encompasses a world class setting, allowing guests to enjoy the beautiful views and outdoor facilities as they exercise. 

LPAC has a new state of the art Health and Fitness facility which encompasses a new gymnasium, State of the art equipment and four spacious studies for group exercise classes. There are over 100 weekly classes ranging from Yoga and Pilates to Zumba, Pump, Aquarobics, Cardio Boxing and Cycle.

We also boast six swimming pools, swim options include indoor heated and outdoor heated swimming, children’s pools, a dive pool, and program pools and the very popular Learn to Swim Classes.

The centre also has a warm water therapy pool for rehabilitation, general exercise and swimming. And is currently taking expressions of interest for health professionals such as physiotherapists, chiropractors etc to hire lanes for them and their clients.

LPAC is passionate about health and fitness and have many classes on offer, and programmes to help you with your health and fitness goals, whether it is weight loss, upper body strength, body toning, energy levels etc. We cater for seniors with senior specific classes such as ‘Strong seniors’ group exercise class. Seniors and Concession card holders receive 20% off Gold memberships as well. We also run active and fun children’s fitness with our ‘Fit kids’ class and children’s martial arts.

To help you get on track we provide FREE fitness assessments and a customised gym program to all new members as part of our GOLD membership package. The fitness assessment and programmes are run by our friendly gym staff team members who will talk to you about your goals, tailor a customised fitness plan for you and show you how to use our gym equipment.

Don’t forget our on site personal trainers whom will kick you into shape and give you that extra boost and motivation to get your body where you want it to be.
